The Ship at Dunwich, a very popular traditional hotel and restaurant on the Suffolk coast, is delighted to announce the appointment of their new Head Chef, Liam Davison.
Liam is familiar not just with The Ship’s kitchen and the team but also all that the inn stands for. He has been working as The Ship’s Sous Chef before stepping up to the hot plate and taking on the new challenge at the end of February 2017.

Suffolk-born and raised, Liam brings creative energy and infectious passion to further develop the menu at The Ship, incorporating seasonal ingredients from local suppliers. He started cooking at the age of 16 and since then has worked in a number of local restaurants. His cooking can be described as a modern take on traditional flavours.
Liam’s favourite dish on the new menu is pan-fried Lowestoft cod fillet, where diners can enjoy a combination of classic and modern cookery skills with the freshest of local ingredients. Liam has said, “This is a great opportunity for me to develop myself as a chef, to improve my style and put my stamp on The Ship’s menus. My passion is to produce excellent, top quality plates of food, using the best ingredients that Suffolk has to offer.

The Ship is planning to introduce Liam to all its regulars during a celebration evening on the 1st of June. It promises to be an indulgent evening with a special mouth-watering menu showcasing Liam’s talented cooking.
